Eternal Magic, is it worth your time? Well, it depends on what you are looking for. Eternal Magic is an MMO that originated from China and after a few years has made its way into the Russian and now the Western world. By no means is Eternal Magic a revolutinizing MMO. It’s not going to change the MMO genre. However, it is a good “cookie-cutter” MMO. It’s an MMO thats pretty traditional in every regard. Most players would call it a direct “WoW-Clone” which is a pretty accurate description. Is this necessarily a bad thing? Well, that question alone is a pretty controversial topic. In my opinion; No, but in this modern age of gaming. Modern players are expecting more. They want MMOs to break away from the mold of your standard WoW-Clone, they want studios to take risks in changing the genre.
So what does Eternal Magic have?
Eternal Magic has everything. It’s literally an MMO with an extreme amount of content and features. I think Eternal Magic took all the good features of every MMO and just added them in. From pet battles to guild wars to 10 man raids. So let’s take a closer look at each aspect.
Eternal Magic has a lot of options in terms of PvP content. These include your standard arena, capture the flag, Guild Wars, and a MOBA map. Even faction wars.
Aside from your standard 5 man dungeons. Eternal Magic takes a note out of WoWs dungeon system. 5-Man Normal, 5-Man Heroic, and 10-Man Raids, and of course your standard World Bosses.
Though there is nothing entirely unique about Eternal Magic, it still has a place in the MMO genre providing players with a “time-killer” and oldschool players that are just burned out of WoW with an alternative. Do I see a place for Eternal Magic? Absolutely, free to play titles are always going to be popular to the masses.
