Well, G-Star 2019 is definitely not a disappointment this year. With the blockbuster news from Pearl Abyss announcing not 1, but 3 new MMO’s. I’m happy to announce another new MMO hitting the scene, Project Arena. A title created by NGEL Games. Designed with a global launch in mind, Project Arena is an MMO similar to the highly acclaimed Maple Story 2. Built on the unreal engine 4, and cross-platform (PC & Mobile) friendly. High expectations are placed in Project Arena. Some critics are even predicting Project Arena to steal some market share from the failing Maple Story 2, under Nexon.
NGEL Games is a questionable developer, having only experience with 1 mobile game that has had relative success. It’s a very valid question if they can even pull an AAA MMO of this scale. Especially on the lucrative cross-platform market. “Lord of Dice”, isn’t even an MMO. From first glance, it looks like a card game.
At this time NGEL Games has not announced a time table for Project Arena. However, they have hinted that beta will be arriving to the Korean markets first, before hitting western shores.
