System performance, the never-ending bugbear of all applications. The Elder Scrolls Online has been running for a while now, and naturally that has meant that over time certain performance bugs have become more noticeable or just bigger issues, which is why the game is focusing development resources on improving that performance. A newly updated roadmap explains exactly what will be worked on in the next few updates, running through the end of this year into the middle of next year. (It’s an extension of the last update on the overall plans.)PLAY ELDER SCROLLS ONLINEUpdate 24, which is on track for 2019, will include an overhaul of the game’s memory management (which will be further updated in the next patch), a complete rewrite of the game’s LFG system, and behind-the-scenes improvements to abilities and coding to make for better performance. Subsequent updates will improve texture loading, frame rate drops, and server optimization. Check out the full page for more details on how the game will be improving just on the performance side over the next several months.
