Eternal Magic is now live on the Russian Servers, bringing a new unexplored world. Unfortunately, the English players still have some time to wait, but at least we get a glimpse at what’s to come. Fortunately, I got a chance to sit down and chat with Rippo, regarding Eternal Magic, I’m here to share with you what he shared with me, enjoy!
Squishy: Previously Eternal Magic has made an announcement to delay the CBT originally scheduled for July to September 4th. How long do you estimate the transition from CBT to Open Beta. Many players in the community have noticed that in the Russian version, the transition from CBT to OBT was rather extremely fast.
Rippo: First, I would like to apologize to our English-speaking players for delaying the Closed Beta. It was a difficult decision for us – we needed a bit more time to polish the game, its systems, and localization, in order to provide the community with the best possible product, starting from CBT. Of course, there might still be hiccups, but nothing critical or game-breaking.
As of right now, I cannot say anything about the time gap between the launch of CBT and OBT, but I believe that, depending on the data gathered during the Closed Beta, this break will not be very long.
Squishy: I think this is a question that most guilds are curious about. On the website, it mentions Guild Wars “This is where the real heat is. Compete for influence on the continent in fierce 10×10 guild battles.” Will guilds be allowed to control territory in Eternal Magic?
Rippo: Most of the guild-centric content will become available during the Open Beta phase. There will be no territory control in EM at the start of OBT, but we will keep an ear out for feedback, especially in terms of what the community wants from competitive guild features.
Squishy: PvE mentions a number of dungeons of different difficulty. What’s the max party size for these dungeons? Is it following the standard 5-player dungeon cap?
Rippo: Yes, there will be dungeons of varying difficulty, and the default max party size will be five players.
Squishy: What is your favorite class so far?
Rippo: My personal favorite has to be Spellblade, and not just for their posture and style. I love the idea of combining the better of two worlds – the realms of melee fighters and spellcasters – while donning light armor, like some sort of high fantasy Jedi. In addition, the idea of tanking without the need for heavy armor has always seemed fascinating
Squishy: The Queen’s Rating feature has stirred up some controversy within the community, citing concerns for bias favoritism. How flexible is the staff in regards to this event?
Rippo: The Queen’s Rating is an interesting concept. Personally, I would not mind having a statue of myself occupy the main plaza in the capital of some magical kingdom! Of course, all photos uploaded for the contest will be moderated by our staff. As we draw closer to OBT launch, we will be releasing a guide covering the Queen’s Rating functionality in greater detail.
Squishy: What do you recommend to new players looking in on Eternal Magic?
Rippo: I recommend all newcomers to find a guild, or at least gather a group of friends to play Eternal Magic together. The game has plenty of great party-oriented content and puts a strong emphasis on social features. The way I see it, that is the most important aspect of any MMO.
Squishy: What will the server structure look like for the English release?
Rippo: Servers will be divided by NA and EU.
