Congratz, you reached the endgame. Now you want to dish out big damage? In this guide, I’ll be covering the min-max of squeezing every point of damage out of a Gunslinger. Full disclosure – Gunslinger just due to the class will not be topping DPS meters. In this guide I’ll be covering stats, runes, gear, skills and abilities, and more.

Skills & Abilities
Most of these skills that I have chosen are common sense, however some abilities I’ll explain why I chose them.
Viper’s Shot over Death Shooting – Again this is just number crunching, Viper’s Shot does 100 more damage than death shooting when Viper’s Bite is applied to the target. Therefore, Viper’s Shot is the victor here.
Poison Trap – Now depending on the scenario or boss, you can swap Poison Trap out with Rupture Scatter. It really depends on the situation. Poison Trap from a Min Max perspective does the most damage per second. However, for that to work, the boss will have to remain inside the trap for the entire duration. If there’s a lot of movement in the fight, then I would suggest switching out to Rupture Scatter.
Scouting Lighthouse – This is a mandatory ability for any Gunslinger. The reason why you want to choose this ability is for the sole reason that this ability buffs your entire damage by 10% for the entire fight, as long as you stand in the radius of the buff. 10% is huge, and it scales with every ability and gear. This is a MUST HAVE for any Gunslinger.
Passives – Now my Passives are pretty common sense, so I won’t be going into an explanation of my choices. They are as followed – Wrath of the Forest, Enhanced Shooting, Quick Charge, Powerful Shot.
Your stat priority should be as followed.
- Crit or Crit Damage up to 35%
- Effectiveness or Mastery
- Accuracy – At least 115% or 225 Accuracy for Bosses.
With that said, your gear and everything that comes with it should reflect these stats. Ideally, for every piece of gear, you at least want Agility with Effectiveness and crit on it. For Runes, you should be stacking agility runes and if your gear has a 2nd rune slot, stick a Phys damage rune in there as well.
Astrology & Spirit Upgrade Priority
For Astrology, you want to max out the fox first. Why? Because it gives Agility and on top of that it buffs the damage of Viper’s Bite.
For Spirit, you want to max out your weapon first. Why? I’ll be covering that shortly.
Current Best-In-Slot Gear
Helm – Voodoo Blood Hat (H10) – Increases Viper’s Bite Damage by 8%
Shoulders – Mad Victim Shoulders – Increases Damage Done by 5%
Legs – Advanced Astrologist pants (Red)
Boots – Time Guard Boots – (Chaos)
Gloves – Time Guard Gloves – (Chaos)
Chest – Advanced Astrologist breastplate (Red)
Ring – Donator Ring (3 Rune slots) – Boss Warrants or Ares Will Tier 3+ (Divine Wep)
Weapon – Smashing Muskets Chaos (Chaos) or Spirit Devouring Muskets (Spirit Level Wep 20)
Rotation – Skill Priority
I’m not going to tell you every boss fight is going to be super clean and smooth where you can pop off a rotation. But there is a priority on skills you should be using when given the opportunity.
Scouting Lighthouse > Viper’s Bite > Viper’s Shot > Venomous Sniper > Rupture Scatter or Poison Trap. But remember, Viper’s Bite should be on the boss at all times – This ability buffs Viper’s Shot.
You should not be using Viper’s Shot if Viper’s Bite is not applied to the boss.
