Population Zero, a new survival-based MMO is headed towards Closed Beta on September 19th. Founder packs are also now live, ranging from 10$ USD to 50$ USD. These founder packs guarantee access into closed beta.
Population Zero is a faction-based survival MMO where players band together to struggle for survival in a dangerous alien world: the community of players will be divided into colonies and factions that constantly conflict with each other over territories, resources, and technologies. You will be able to fight with hostile players, destroy their bases and capture resource-rich lands. Or create alliances with other colonists and participate in a large-scale conflict of warring factions, each of which has its own philosophy, separate storylines, and unique abilities.
Population Zero has a heavy influence on factions. These factions will impact a player not only by specialized stat increases, but also alter how they’re character “evolves”. Players can decide between The Void, Technocrat, or Xenobiote. Each of these factions has a unique effect in altering how your character looks. This is a extremely unique take on factions in MMOs.
Players will also be able to unlock perks throughout the game. These perks carry added special benefits once unlocked. An example – Cutting 100 trees could unlock special perks that allow lessening depreciation on you’re woodcutting axe. Aside from the features above, Population Zero also features a hardcore PvP mentality. You guessed it, full drop loot death. You also lose your “perks” when dying. It also includes your standard clan territory wars. Offline raiding has been confirmed, however the devs have guaranteed that you should be relatively safe depending on the strength of your “walls”.
We will continue to cover more details on Population Zero.
