Once nicknamed as the spiritual successor of Ragnarok Online, Lime Odyssey seems to not have completely vanished despite being closed down in Korea by Daum in February of 2014 and again being closed down by Cykan Entertainment. The track record of Lime Odyssey is a spotty one at best, going through multiple “relaunches” all to end with game closures. Fans can remember Lime Odyssey as being one of the most hyped MMOs in the 2012 era, having completed an alpha testing in the West by Aeria Games. Despite the reasonable turnout and demand from the West, it was not meant to be as Daum was struggling financially and development was further canceled in all regions.
Today the title seems to have been picked up by an unknown Korean company, Neonnovice who will be partnering up with an “Unnamed” Chinese company in relaunching the title as a Chinese Mobile Game. Yes, mobile game. As much of you are disappointed as am I, there’s still hope yet that Neonnovice and this “secret” Chinese company will continue where Daum left off.
