So it’s been a while since most of us caught up with Eternal Magic. This post is mainly directed towards members that left the game that are still within the community. I think we owe them kind of a peep of what they left behind. After all, most of us did spend countless hours to build where Uncrowned is today.
As many of you know, the state of Eternal Magic is literally in the void. I suspect maybe actively less than 150-250 players on the NA server. Possibly 500 tops across both NA and EU. With such low population, it’s obviously hard for players to find groups for endgame such as Chaos/Nightmare and etc. Lack of individuals in crucial roles such as Tanks and Healers have made it almost rare to complete any endgame content. Despite that issue, Uncrowned has been fairing pretty well. Chaos and nightmare are still being completed, at least to the extent the guild can do.
With the level cap raised to 65 and soon to be 70, I honestly see an increase in groups being able to clear content. Since it seems heroics and chaos bosses don’t increase with the level cap.
In terms of Housekeeping news, Krause has gone inactive and therefore Priscella has taken over as Guild Lead for Uncrowned. Aside from that, things are as they were in the beginning. Endgame content is still being completed, etc.
It’s also noted that Eternal Magic will be launching on Steam pretty soon, I think hopes are up that some fresh blood is badly needed and everyone would benefit from an influx of new players.
Most of the issues related to Eternal Magic are a lack of population and a lack of geared individuals outside of the guild core. In honesty, there just isn’t enough geared guildies to begin the process of gearing up the whole guild as there isn’t enough tanks/healers and etc to do chaos dungeons and so forth.
Most of these issues despite being prevalent seem to not affect the EU server. This is my theory. The reason why the EU server isn’t having that much of a problem in gearing everyone up is that the entire server has been centralized under 1 guild.
In a game where voice is honestly rare, as most players prefer to not use discord voice. I think having 1 guild helps with a lot of benefits. Mainly guild activities that benefit everybody, guild buffs, etc. It also helps that a bulk majority of the EU server speaks English as the prime language. Obviously there’s a lot of individuals against unifying the NA server with concerns for “Competition”, “Guild-Name”, and etc. Regardless of their concerns, the server is going to merge into 1 guild if the game continues with this population and here’s why. It’s going to boil down to 1 guild having the majority of players that can clear content. Players no matter what are going to flock to guilds that can clear content, it’s just a generic MMO rule. And for the critics that argue having 1 guild would kill “competition”. Can you honestly say there’s competition even now? Most of the events are one-sided and that’s just due to the fact that 1 side is more geared than the others because they are clearing endgame content. It’s going to come to a point where the gear gap is so huge that literally it won’t even matter.
If the Steam release does not bring enough new players, then the wheels are in motion whether people want it or not to unify into a single guild.
